What a delightful sentiment.

Might be sooner than you think. I'm looking for a small device I can use while on holidays, the Acer Netbook having died, unlike me, of old age.
Cheers

I bought a Dell XPS 13 a while ago. It's a fully functional Windows 10 laptop and yet it's small and light (it's 1.2 kg = 2.67 lbs).
Best wishes,
Hans

Since I enjoy a good cup of coffee to "power up" in the mornings when I visit Eileen's Lounge, maybe we ought to have some of these cups available! Maybe as a smilie?

Hi Rudi - On Firefox, on my Mac, your "mice" look like they've had way too much caffeine! :yikes:

What Hans said is true, but I think we ALL have a supercomputer in our home today.

Thanks Hans. Duly noted.
I dropped in to the MSoft show window (not really a store) last Tuesday and Sam showed me what I took to be a tablet with a detachable keyboard. just under 2lbs FWIW.

Since my Acer netbook has died, I feel I ought to master a new lightweight device well before I go on hols.

Troubleshooting was a cinch on mainframes.
Us programmers just blamed the hardware engineer support staff.
They blamed us, but who listens to engineers, right?

Watch it there, Chris! Engineers produce real results, not just 0 + 1= zero. :groan:
The finger pointing game was all just part of blaming the other guys, while buying time to make sure that it was really a software problem!
See, I told you so!

Time Split to the Nanosecond Is Precisely What Wall Street Wants
"A generation ago, computing usually took place in a single mainframe or personal computer. Now it is routinely spread across thousands of independent processors in machines that can be separated by a few feet or entire continents."
